Virtually anything you need to know about your gameplay can be found in the Tome of Knowledge.

The Tome also offers more opportunities for unlocking new abilities and Tactics that will boost your career and aid the overall war effort. When you unlock an entry, an onscreen message will appear displaying the number of Experience Points you earned for the unlock. Click on the message to open and read the related entry within the Tome of Knowledge.
