Once you select your server, you will then need to choose which Realm you wish to play on that server. Because Warhammer Online is based around Realm-versus-Realm play, you are limited to one Realm—Order or Destruction—on each server. You can create up to 10 characters per server, but again, they must all belong to the same Realm. Characters created on a specific server are unique to that server, but you can create characters on as many servers as you like!* To play a specific character, you must log onto the server where it was created.

*Trial Account character creation is limited to specific servers.

There are six different races in Warhammer Online—Chaos, Dark Elves, and Greenskin for Destruction and Dwarfs, Empire, and High Elves for Order. Each Realm has 12 unique careers (24 career choices in total). You can read more about each race and their respective careers on our Order or DestructionArmies of WAR page.

Once you decide on a race and career to play, you are able to customize your character's appearance (gender, hair style, hair color, eye color, etc.) and name. Please note that, per the Warhammer lore, certain careers (the Witch Elf and Slayer are two examples) are gender-specific.

Keep in mind, the more you accomplish throughout the game, the more your character's wardrobe, gear, and Trophies will improve. As you progress through Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, your character's entire look will continue to become ever more distinguished.
