What does a Lead Programmer do?
I coordinate the day-to-day efforts of the programming staff to bring the vision of Warhammer to life. While on paper this seems like a straightforward task, but in truth it can be easily summed up with the vision of attempting to juggle three snotlings in one hand, while simultaneously herding a pack of 12 cats. Don't be fooled, cats are cute and cuddly -- but highly resistant to the idea of moving in any direction but where they want to go.

What is your background?
Born in California and raised in the Pacific Northwest I started down the path of game development at Dynamix in 1998, working on several titles, then plunged deeply into the east coast culture working for Kesmai on BattleTech 3025 then onto Lodestone Games, and finally Mythic for the past two years where I've had the honor of being a part of the talented Camelot team and now Warhammer. As far back as memory serves I've been in front of a computer in one facet or another, either plugging away on simple games on an Apple II or learning how to program on the various PC platforms available from the early 1980's to present.

What was your "welcome to the game industry" moment when it hit you that you were really making games for a living?
The realization that I was working hard and passionately on games really didn't strike home until I saw a copy of my first title sitting on the shelves of a gaming store. I walked into the store on a mission to buy whichever game held my fancy at the time, and I spotted my games sitting on the shelves unexpectedly -- that's when it hit me, I'm making games!

What excites you about the Warhammer property?
The Warhammer universe is one that is so rich in character, humor and most importantly conflict. The epic battles of good versus evil, lend themselves so strongly to the world of MMOs. Warhammer presents us with a unique opportunity to have fun with the world that we create and the characters we populate it with. Now couple that with the chance to work with the amazing talents at Games Workshop -- it’s just fantastic.

What are your favorite video/computer games of all time?
Hmm, the list is so large and span decades, but a few that come to mind: Pac-man (arcade), Legacy of the Ancients (C64), The Unreal series, StarCraft, Age of Empires, Half-Life, Counter-strike, EverQuest, World of Warcraft and Dark Age of Camelot.
